Therapeutic Services

Times of uncertainty often draw our attention to our fears and anxieties, but they also illuminate the things that are most important to us. Whether you’re struggling with infertility; worrying about your child’s well-being; feeling insecure as a parent; suffering the loss of a loved one; processing abuse or trauma; experiencing a major life transition; feeling unsatisfied in your relationships; or are just wanting more out of life, therapy may be a great place to start. Beginning therapy can be overwhelming, but my hope is to help you navigate the process of choosing a therapist, even if that therapist isn’t me.

I offer individual, couples, and family therapy focused on a broad range of presenting concerns and distress, including, but not limited to: relationship problems; depression and anxiety; abuse or neglect; unique needs of young children; trauma; issues of adolescence; infertility or difficulty with conception; postpartum concerns; parenting challenges; grief and loss; and educational or legal advocacy and support.

*I recognize that finding and accessing support during this pandemic can be difficult. I want to be mindful of the potential barriers to accessing therapy and do what I can to mitigate these challenges. I am currently offering additional sliding scale availability for those wishing to begin services. I have also added options for phone or video appointments for individuals residing in the state of Washington.

Rates

My therapy session fees are as follows:

  • 50-minute session: $150

  • 75-minute session: $225

  • 100-minute session: $300

I do have some sliding scale rates available. Please ask about options if finances are the only barrier to working together. I do not bill insurance directly,* but I am happy to provide monthly statements for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider. If you choose this option, please check with your insurer to inquire about their out-of-network reimbursement policy.

Fees are payable at your session, in the form of cash, check, Health Savings or Flex Spending Accounts, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

*I have chosen not to work with insurance companies for various reasons. While I understand the financial benefit of using your insurance, some of the advantages to you and your therapy by not using insurance are:

  • The ability to keep your therapy more confidential

  • Having more control over what you want to work on in therapy

  • The option to continue or discontinue therapy when you decide

  • The opportunity to explore your life without the requirement to pathologize your experience

Please contact me with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
