I am a wife and the mom of two young children, living in Vancouver, WA. I was born in San Francisco, and have lived up and down the west coast including California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, in addition to living in Lyon, France for a year. I have always been fascinated and intrigued by the human experience - including how people interact with and relate to each other. To me, this is especially interesting in the context of family relationships and dynamics.
My approach to therapy is deeply influenced by my life experiences, including my personal relationships, my own therapy, and my role as a mother, in addition to my training and education. I have a long history of working in the helping professions, particularly with children, parents, and families. I have worked in various settings, including residential treatment, community mental health, juvenile corrections, day treatment, and public schools. My work is grounded in my passion for social justice and activism, and I greatly enjoy working with those who have been oppressed or marginalized.
Additionally, I enjoy exploring our local community with my family, spending time in nature, creating, cooking, gardening, hand embroidering, and traveling.
